Win back the refunds Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat take from your payout

Bronze checks every order at the packing station before the bag is sealed and keeps a time-stamped photo of it. When a refund lands on your payout, Bronze files the dispute with that photo attached. Your managers do not have to open a partner portal.

83% of disputes filed with photo evidence are won (disputes resolved in the last 12 months, Bronze data, July 2026). Bronze has recovered £1.89M for its customers to date.

How do you win a Deliveroo or Uber Eats refund dispute?

Each platform charges the restaurant for items the customer reports as missing or wrong. You dispute that charge in the platform’s partner portal, within its own deadline. Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat all accept a photo of the packed order as evidence. Bronze takes that photo on every order and stores it against the order number, so the evidence is ready before the claim arrives.

Bronze files the dispute for you

On Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat, Bronze picks up each refund as it appears and files the dispute automatically, with the watermarked photo of that order and its capture time. You follow everything in the Hub: what was claimed, what was won and how much came back.

Bronze only disputes a refund when its own check showed that the order left the kitchen complete. Disputes go one at a time through each platform’s official channel, with the evidence for that order, never in bulk.

Dispute deadlines on each platform

Uber Eats gives you 30 days from the order to dispute an order error adjustment (Uber Eats merchant learning centre, GB, checked 10 September 2026). Deliveroo gives you 7 days from the refund email, in Partner Hub (Deliveroo Help, updated 3 June 2026). The Just Eat window and the rest of the detail are in our guide to refund dispute deadlines.

In practice the Deliveroo window is shorter than the policy’s seven days. Filing our customers’ disputes, the ones that go through are filed within about a day of the refund appearing, and one filed seven and a half days later was refused. A manager who disputes by hand at the end of the week is already late. The full procedure is in our guide to Deliveroo refund disputes.

Checking the order at the packing station

Your team shows the packed order to a tablet on the pass or to a phone. Bronze compares it with the order line by line and flags a missing or wrong item on screen while the bag is still open, so the kitchen fixes it before it goes out. The median check takes under one second. For missing items in particular, read how Bronze handles missing item claims.

Restaurant groups and franchisees

Bronze learns your brand, not each site: the models are trained on your products and your packaging, so a new restaurant goes live with detection already working from day one. Every restaurant in the group appears in the same Hub, with its claims, its disputes and what has been recovered. Bronze has verified orders at five KFC restaurants in the UK since August 2026; read the announcement.

The figures behind it

  • 83% of disputes won, measured over disputes resolved in the last twelve months, not over disputes opened.
  • £1.89M recovered for customers to date, more than £860k of it in 2026.
  • 5 million orders verified across more than 450 restaurants in live operation.
  • Under one second: the median time to check an order.

Questions we get asked

Do my managers need to dispute refunds themselves?
No. Bronze files the dispute with the photo of the order attached, and your managers follow the outcome in the Hub: what was claimed, what was won and what came back.
Which delivery platforms does Bronze dispute on in the UK?
Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. On all three, Bronze files the dispute automatically as soon as the refund appears, with the same evidence.
Does Bronze dispute every refund?
No. Bronze disputes a refund when its own check at the packing station showed that the order left complete. Each dispute goes through the platform’s official channel, one at a time, with the evidence for that order, never in bulk.
How quickly does a Deliveroo refund dispute need to be filed?
Deliveroo’s policy gives you 7 days from the refund email. In our own filing, the disputes that go through are filed within about a day of the refund appearing, and one filed seven and a half days later was refused. Bronze checks for new refunds every day and files straight away.
When does the recovered money reach my account?
Through the platform itself. When a dispute is won, the platform returns the amount it had deducted, as a credit on a later payout, so the timing follows each platform’s own payment cycle. In the Hub you see each dispute as soon as the platform resolves it, with the amount won.
What evidence do the platforms accept?
A photo of the packed order that identifies the order, shows the items and was clearly taken before dispatch. Bronze attaches its photo watermarked and stamped with its capture time.
