Bronze starts operating in the United Kingdom with KFC

Since late August, five KFC restaurants in the United Kingdom have been checking every delivery order with Bronze before it leaves the kitchen. It is our first operation in the British market.

Bronze has been operating in the United Kingdom since 26 August 2026. The first five restaurants are KFC, and they use computer vision to check every delivery order before the bag is sealed, on Uber Eats and on Deliveroo. If something is missing, the kitchen sees it there and then and fixes it. If a claim arrives later, the photo of the order has already been taken.

The five restaurants

They are deliberately very different sites, because a system that works in central London proves nothing unless it also works at a motorway services on a Saturday night.

  • KFC Waterloo, London
  • KFC Above Bar Street, Southampton
  • KFC Whitebirk Roundabout, Blackburn
  • KFC Central Retail Park, Kirkcaldy
  • KFC Junction 10 M6 Services, Walsall

KFC already worked with Bronze in Spain and in France. The United Kingdom is the third market, and the first where we started with the full system from the opening shift.

What we have seen in the first month

Better than we expected for a trial phase. We would rather not publish figures yet: we are validating them with the customer, and a number from an incomplete month says less than it appears to. In a few weeks we will publish the case study with the figures and the methodology behind them.

What we can say is what we are measuring, because that is where the difference between checking an order and merely photographing it becomes visible. We measure two separate things: the money recovered in disputes the platform agrees to reverse, and the error prevented, meaning the orders that went out correct because somebody fixed the bag when Bronze flagged it. A system that only stores photos cannot measure the second one, because measuring prevention requires having intervened.

How it works on each platform

On Uber Eats and on Deliveroo, Bronze files the dispute on its own with the photo of the order attached, watermarked and stamped with its capture time. On Just Eat the order is checked in exactly the same way and the evidence is ready to go, but the claim is still submitted by a person.

It is worth being this explicit, because the difference shows up in the first week of use. The windows to challenge a charge are short and they differ by platform, and that detail decides how much money is actually recovered. We have written it up separately for Deliveroo refund disputes.

Bronze is now available to restaurants in the UK

We work with groups, with independents and with dark kitchens. Setting it up needs no building work and no new cameras: Bronze runs on a tablet at the pass or on a phone in hand, and it connects to the POS and the aggregators the restaurant already uses.

Across the rest of the network, Bronze has verified more than 5 million orders in over 450 restaurants, wins 83% of the disputes it submits, measured over disputes resolved in the last twelve months, and has recovered more than €2.2M for its customers.
