25-minute UK delivery at Domino’s: time your handover

What a listed UK chain tells investors about delivery speed, and how to time your own kitchen-to-door clock.

Domino’s Pizza Group told investors that its UK delivery times stayed under 25 minutes, and called them industry-leading (H1 2026 results, Domino’s Pizza Group, published 4 August 2026). It is one of the few delivery numbers a UK operator can read straight off a published document. Most takeaways never get a figure like it. The platforms hand you back your prep time, not the clock the customer feels, so the door-to-door total is something you have to time yourself.

What should a delivery clock measure?

Domino’s publishes the total and no breakdown, so the stage figures are yours to measure. Time four stages on your busiest site for a week, at the same two hours each day. Then put your total next to 25 minutes and see which stage eats the difference.

The four stages, with nothing invented in between:

  1. Order confirmed: from the ping on the tablet to the item hitting the line.
  2. Prepared: from the line to a sealed bag on the counter, verification included.
  3. Collected: from the sealed bag to the rider walking out with it.
  4. Delivered: from the rider walking out to the drop-off.

Stages one and four belong to the platform. Two and three are yours, and they are the ones nobody logs.

Time the stage your kitchen controls

A sealed bag can sit on the counter while nobody tells the rider it is ready. Those minutes show up in no report. On Deliveroo they can also turn into the Rider Wait Fee, which you pay per minute. A packer who seals the bag and announces it in the same movement takes minutes out of stage three without touching the kitchen. The pass is the only point where both the contents and the clock get recorded at once.

Bronze photographs each order at the pass, compares what was ordered with what was packed and stamps the time. In real time, on every order. The handover stops being a figure you estimate at the end of the week.

Time your four stages for a week with Bronze Riders, which stamps the pass and the pickup on every order.
